A core service of Children of Jannah is to educate bereaved parents and families, along with professionals and the public, about child bereavement in Islam. Each bereavement is unique and access to a reliable source for knowledge may assist bereaved parents in making choices to help them day to day.
Our goal is to be amongst the trusted resources for information and knowledge when a Muslim child dies. We aim to provide clear information on loss and grief from an Islamic perspective, as well as answer frequently asked questions by bereaved parents on topics surrounding child death.
Our funeral guide outlines the steps involved in the funeral process, from the death of a child up to the burial. We explain the child death review and discuss postmortems. The delicate subjects of miscarriage, stillbirth and termination of pregnancy, in addition to the mourning period in Islam, are also explored in detail.
